Now two years into the  wildlife restoration activities,  Dirk Hartog Island native animals are rejoicing in their new found freedom from cats, goats and sheep and translocated hare-wallabies are enjoying their new home. 

Now comes the question – who’s next?

Shark Bay bandicoots are the ‘Hobbit’ of the bandicoot world and next to join the Dirk Hartog Island community
